Why We Partnered With
The Red Movement

For Clarins, partnering with Move Africa and supporting the Red Movement is about working towards change and being a force for good - helping shape the future of women in our nation.

• Distribute 2000 cups in schools across South Africa.

• Provide each girl with a menstrual health workshop.

• Raise awareness on issues surrounding period poverty.

Red Movement Training

“We dream of giving girls the freedom of a future unrestricted by their menstrual cycles. We believe we can achieve this by equipping them with menstrual cups, educating them adequately about their menstruation, and breaking the stigma associated with periods”

Lesego Mpyana (Founder of Move Africa)

Did you know?

In South Africa, 3 in 10 girls (3.7 Million) miss a week of school every month because they can't afford menstrual products. Unfortunately, period poverty goes beyond a lack of access to sanitary wear and also extends to the stigma and taboo associated with conversations around menstruation and the female body.
